Please join your friends from Lite 100.5 WRCH under the tent at Miller Foods, 308 Arch Road in Avon today from 8am to 3pm for the annual Jack Bannon Turkey Trot.

We will be collecting Turkeys, non-perishable food items including canned vegetables, rice, pasta, mashed potato flakes, and gravy and cash.  Foodshare will distribute the donations to our neighbors in Connecticut that need assistance.

Foodshare announced a need for 19,000 turkeys and $875,000, to fulfill all incoming requests for help this holiday season. Traditionally, the food bank has had 15 days to make the Annual Turkey and Thirty Campaign a success. This year, with focus on the Presidential election and Thanksgiving a full week early, Foodshare has the smallest window of time ever to ensure all of our neighbors can share in the Thanksgiving tradition!
