With temperatures in the teens, it’s a really cold night for doing horse chores in Burlington. That’s what Sue and John were doing when Sue called in to dedicate a  song tonight on PillowTalk. They met in the workplace 31 years ago. As Sue told me, “that’s how you met people then because there really wasn’t any internet dating”. They have been married for 29 years. They are sort of opposites. Sue says she’s an outgoing person and he is not. That is why she made the phone call and he didn’t. He is more of an introvert. Sue says she can be exuberant, very up and down but John goes with the flow. Without John, Sue says that she would be in the horse barn by herself. It’s their love of animals that brings them together and they have lots of them. You name it they have it. She wants to thank John for being her friend and her mate and always being there with her.

She told me the song that she requested tonight wasn’t their wedding song but should have been. Paul Stookey performs it live.
