By Joan Dylan

Over the past three decades, Rick Springfield has been nothing short of a chameleon as an entertainer and performer. Top of the charts for power-pop of the ’80s, a Grammy winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.”

He’s an amazing actor in that he picks roles where nobody would recognize him as he plays the bad guy!!!  Just take HBO’s True Detective and Lucifer this season on the CW hit, Supernatural. With all the ways he has stretched himself as a performer I decided to do a deeper dive into what pushes Rick forward to create more goals and what he sees as a larger role for himself in today’s divisive world.
