McDonald's McRib Makes Its Comeback

October 7, 2019

This is not a drill! The McDonalds McRib sandwich is back!

As of Monday, October 7th, the iconic pork sandwich will be available for a limited-time at more than 10,000 of the fast-food chain’s restaurants in red and blue states alike, according to USA Today.

Fans of the 480-calorie boneless barbecue beauty can locate where to get a McRib by inputting their zip code in the handy online “McFinder.”

To further celebrate the McRib’s return, McDonald’s has also created 16 Instagram Story GIFs that will help share your excitement for the tangy treat.

“We’re always listening to our customers and we know the McRib has some of the most loyal fans,” the company said in a statement. “This year we’re excited to give every McRib fan new ways to show their love for the sandwich with our saucy McRib GIFS so they can celebrate the season no matter where they live.”

Originally launched in 1981, the McRib sold poorly and was pulled off the menu four years later. Over the years it has been reintroduced as a seasonal item which has helped to further its cult status and increase sales during the annual promotion. Pumpkin Spice Latte say what?!

Die-hard fans looking to enjoy the pork delicacy year-round may want to take a trip to Germany or Luxembourg as the McRib remains a permanent menu item in both countries.

For the time being, Americans from coast-to-coast can find common ground by coming together as one to enjoy the McRib in all of its gastronomical glory.
