LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Though no firm date has been set for the reopening of any of its Las Vegas properties, MGM Resorts International on Tuesday released what it's calling a Seven-Point-Safety-Plan for how the company will be operating when that time comes.

MGM's proposal could be an indication of what other Las Vegas casinos and hotels will look like in the future.

The plan involves:

1) Screening, Temperature Checks and Employee Training

2) Mandatory masks (for employees) and PPE

3) Physical distance guidelines. Where this isn’t feasible, MGM says they will "mitigate as best as possible with plexiglass barriers, face shields or clear signage".

4) Hand-washing and sanitation stations will be available through the properties

5) HVAC controls and improved air quality, focuisng on circulating more outside air through the properties

6) Incident response protocols in the event a guest tests positive for COVID-19

7) Digital Innovations, including allowing guests to check in on their phone instead of waiting in line (though in-person check-in will still be available for those who don't have that option)

"Employees will discourage players from standing (except Craps) and guests will be asked not to stand beside or behind players," the MGM Resorts plan said.

MGM operates the MGM Grand, Aria, Luxor, Excalibur, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Park MGM, Mirage and Bellagio resorts in Las Vegas.

The company closed all their Vegas properties in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic .
