Tell Me Something Good About Connecticut March 20th, 2018

March 20, 2018

We love to brag about Connecticut – as you can tell – and one reason we love Connecticut is our unsurpassed quality of life
Now, think about all the factors that go into quality of life..
We have all four seasons, great schools, a terrific location, mountains, seashore...
But what would you say is the most important factor?

Today is the first official day of spring! Can you believe it? And, today also marks the start of Spring Outdoors, an annual program hosted by The Last Green Valley. In case you don’t remember, Congress designated The Last Green Valley as a National Heritage Corridor in nineteen-ninety-four, and Connecticut is home to twenty-six out of the thirty-five towns in the corridor, including Woodstock, Coventry and Norwich. The Last Green Valley hosts major outdoor events throughout the year, including Walktober in the fall. In the spring, they host Spring Outdoors. Starting today and running through the summer solstice on June twenty-first, Spring Outdoors features a huge variety of organized walks, bike rides, paddles, and much more, including tours at some properties not normally accessible to the public. There is something for everyone, and you can find the entire Spring Outdoors schedule online.
