Event Description:

CHESHIRE, CT — (From the Cheshire Police Department): The Cheshire Police Department Police Explorer Program in partnership with The Hometown Foundation will host a free Community Dinner event from 6:30pm to 9pm on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Cheshire High School, 525 South Main Street.

This dinner is being held to encourage community togetherness and share the night with each other. The dinner is free of charge to Cheshire residents and town employees and 600 tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. During the dinner, we will offer entertainment for families, pictures with Santa, and music. The Explorers created a special head table for local members of the military and their families to honor their service and sacrifice which is especially felt around holidays.

"Part of the Police Explorer program is to teach our youth about commitment to their community," Police Chief Dryfe said. "The Explorers began with an idea of how to bring the community together during the holiday season and this dinner is a direct result of their hard work and determination."
