Event Description:

The Army & Navy Club of Manchester has announced that during their 100th year celebration week (1919-2019) a Sport’s Night will be held at the Club. The date of this event will be Thursday May 16th, doors will open at 5:30pm with dinner at 7:00pm.

Guests that have committed to date are:

  • Jim Calhoun – Three- time UConn National Champion and Basketball Hall of Famer. After a time out, is now coaching St Joseph University bringing his first-year team to a Division III playoff berth.
  • Bobby Valentine – Known as Bobby V. played Major League baseball for the LA Dodgers, California Angles and New York Mets. Also managed the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers. He also had a stint in Kyoto, Japan managing the Chiba Lotte Marines. Currently he is the Athletic director at Sacred Heart University.
  • Mike Crispino - A Manchester Native – is the play by play announcer for UConn Basketball and football. A five-time Emmy Award winner was also a play by play announcer with the NY Knicks, St. John’s University and Boston Celtics. He is also with MSG Network and ESPN Sports.

A sellout is expected. To avoid being shutout, we urge that tickets be purchased early. Comments by many people have remarked that this is one of the best Sport’s Nights held in many years.

A Pasta Dinner will be served with Salad, Rolls, etc.

Cost for the evening will be $25.00 per person.

Dave Krinjak, an active member is chairman of this very special event.
